Community Service

Kansas City Young Matrons is a volunteer organization of over 300 women. Since 1917, KCYM has helped community members who are in need, partnering with established, non-profit institutions throughout the greater Kansas City area. Our members contribute time and talent in ways that are not always seen, but are felt, one woman and child at a time.

Every other year since 1989, KCYM’s Philanthropic Fund has held a fundraising event called the Magic Ball. This event benefits a deserving charity in the Greater Kansas City area. Our most recent Magic Ball, benefitting Inclusion Connections BelongKC campus designed for young adults with IDD, was held on March 9, 2024.
